Five Suns Brewing was established in 2017 by a group of lifetime long friends, Dennis Boettcher, Jess Jackson, Sean Macias, Nick Riccobono, and Michael Tucker. All five founders were raised in Martinez, CA and graduates of the local schools. They set out from the garage with a simple mission to bring things to the community that were missing, starting with craft beer. Five Suns has grown to be one of the greatest breweries in Contra Costa County.

Five Suns originally decided to go to the next level by renovating an old building during 2016 in downtown Martinez which took the greater part of a year...and many, MANY weekends. All five owners worked their day jobs Monday through Friday while building the business. A successful 1bbl brewery was born at our old 701 address in 2017. And now we have continued to build into an amazing space at 626 Main Street. Everyone can enjoy our tasting room ambiance, friendly chatter and a cold, local made beer!

Five Suns downtown venue space is greatly paired with an energetic lineup of bands and fun events. Five Suns specializes in having something for everyone, by providing a very diverse lineup of year-round styles. Most popular Valkyrie Blonde Ale, The Way Hazy IPA, OG Burst Orange Guava Wheat Ale, and Reliez Pale Ale. Beers are available in 16oz cans to go and from nearby retailers.
